We are pleased to present another Jura Limestone project: the Morskaya Residence, an exclusive complex of residential and office buildings on Vasilyevsky Island beside the Gulf of Finland, in a part of St Petersburg shaped by the architecture of the former imperial capital.
Liteynaya Chast 91 designed the complex under Rafael Dayanov. Developer and investor Expoforum set out to create a genuinely distinctive contemporary project while respecting the character and style of St Petersburg's historic architecture.
🔍Facade construction took almost two years and required the processing of nearly 2,500 cubic metres of Jura Limestone. The client approached both material selection and the production planning of finished elements with exceptional care.
Our company was honoured to take part in this ambitious project alongside established St Petersburg stone fabricators.
The work was not without challenges, but the project team quickly established an effective process and the German Jura Limestone industry met the programme. Around 40,000 m² of stone elements were produced and installed across the four buildings before the complex opened at the end of 2020.
🔍We hope to return in suitable weather to produce professional photographs of this important St Petersburg project, which deserves a place among the city's notable works of recent architecture.
