Cameo Moscow Villas

Jura Beige, sandblasted

About the project

Cameo Moscow Villas is an apartment complex by developer Stone Hedge at 23 Dolgorukovskaya Street. Completed in 2021, it was nominated for an architectural award in the category Best Architectural and Urban-Planning Solution for a Mixed-Use Development. The project was designed by Moscow's WALL bureau under Ruben Arakelyan. Seventeen villas stand within walking distance of the Garden Ring. The result combines the privacy of a country residence with a central city location. Light natural Jura Limestone with a sandblasted finish was chosen for the facades. Large vertically oriented slabs reinforce the laconic design and convey quiet dignity. Jura Limestone is a dense and durable material with pale-beige tones. Sandblasting softens its structure, yet a close look still reveals fossils of marine life from the Jurassic period.
