Andreevsky Residential Complex, Moscow

About the project
Andreevsky is a premium residential complex on Frunzenskaya Embankment in Moscow's Khamovniki district. Developer Vedis Group began construction in 2009 and completed it in 2012; the architecture was created by the Velichkin and Golovanov studio. The monumental development overlooking the embankment is clad in Jura Beige banded C220. The direction of the stone's veins introduces movement across the facade, running both along and across the long sides of projecting elements. Corner elements create an additional contrast: their veining turns vertically and their surface is lightened by sandblasting and brushing. Jura Limestone in this vein-cut selection is relatively rare and occurs only in quarry layers 10 and 11, reinforcing the individual character of the premium complex.
