About the project

We present to your attention a rare project in the post-Soviet space — a multifunctional center in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Talan Towers. The project developer is the Kazakh company "Verny Capital"; the architectural design was developed and implemented by the renowned US architectural firm "Skidmore, Owings & Merrill". The projects of these architects include Burj Dubai, Al Hamra Tower in Kuwait, and 101 Warren Street in New York. High-end skyscrapers with stone façade cladding are renowned worldwide. That is why the use of a stone façade in high-rise construction in the post-Soviet space is such a delight to the eye. It is very gratifying to see that the developer dared to undertake such an unconventional project. The cladding material is Jura marble in light shades with a sandblasted surface. According to verification of the technical characteristics of Jura stone, comprehensive tests of Jura marble were carried out during the construction of the Al Hamra Tower, with one of the granites used for comparison. The tests showed the suitability of Jura limestone for high-rise construction. The Talan Towers were commissioned in 2017 and for nearly 10 years now have been a magnet for business people from around the world.
