About the project

We present to your attention an extraordinary project implemented in Saint Petersburg based on the design by the architectural studio "Evgeny Gerasimov and Partners" in 2014. The complex is built opposite the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes and is within walking distance from the main thoroughfare of Saint Petersburg - Nevsky Prospect. The architecture of the building is made with respect to the adjacent church. The artificially created piazzetta allows the modern complex and the old church to coexist harmoniously. For the facade finishing, natural Jurassic marble was used in various types of processing , from simple grinding to volumetric velvet. The use of Jurassic stone of a subdued shade allowed the new building to fit into the architecture of old St. Petersburg without excessive pretentiousness and contrast. The horizontal elements under the windows, protruding from the facade plane, have been preserved quite well over more than 10 years of operation, which once again emphasizes the reliability of Jurassic marble as an exterior finishing material in the harsh climate of our Northern Capital.
